The Manager of Data Services will lead the strategy, reliability, and evolution of the organization’s enterprise data ecosystem. This role is accountable for delivering trusted, decision-ready data to Finance, Marketing, Operations, Clinical, and Executive teams while reducing technical debt and building scalable infrastructure for future growth.
This is a hands-on leadership position overseeing both modern cloud platforms and legacy systems, with direct ownership of platform reliability, data quality, and team performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the strategic direction and day-to-day operation of enterprise data platforms (Snowflake and legacy systems).
- Ensure uptime, performance, security, monitoring, and cost optimization.
- Lead ingestion, transformation, and orchestration efforts (Fivetran, dbt, Airflow or equivalent).
- Stabilize legacy SSIS pipelines while driving modernization to scalable ELT frameworks.
- Establish SLAs, production support, and incident response processes.
- Embed data quality, validation, and governance standards into pipelines.
- Partner cross-functionally to translate business priorities into scalable technical solutions.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing data engineering team.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering or data platform roles.
- 3+ years leading enterprise data or platform teams.
- Strong experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake preferred).
- Hands-on experience with dbt (or equivalent), Airflow (or equivalent), Fivetran (or equivalent), and legacy ETL tools such as SSIS.
- Experience operating production data systems with defined SLAs and support models.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
