Job DescriptionLHH is partnering with a respected law firm in Atlanta to hire a Legal Administrative Assistant to support its Litigation practice group. This is an excellent opportunity for a high-achieving recent graduate or early-career professional who is planning to pursue law school within the next 2-3 years and is looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced legal environment.
We are seeking a polished, detail-oriented candidate with strong academic credentials, excellent administrative skills, and a genuine interest in building a long-term career in the legal field.
Position Overview
This role provides comprehensive administrative support to multiple attorneys and paralegals within the Litigation group. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and able to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Draft, revise, and format legal documents, correspondence, and spreadsheets
- Screen and direct phone calls; serve as liaison between attorneys, clients, and internal staff
- Manage mail distribution, calendaring, and file retrieval
- Enter attorney time into the billing system
- Assist with conflict checks, file openings, and administrative compliance procedures
- Review and revise client billing in coordination with accounting
- Maintain filing systems, contact lists, and attorney calendars
- Coordinate meetings, conference rooms, travel arrangements, and expense reports
- Prepare and assemble final legal documents for distribution (mail, courier, overnight delivery)
- Conduct basic factual research online as directed
- Support internal and client meetings
- Assist with special projects and provide team support as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required (strong GPA preferred)
- Prior internship or experience in a law firm or professional office environment strongly preferred
- Demonstrated interest in pursuing law school within the next 2-3 years
- Strong academic background and professional communication skills
Required Skills
- Typing speed of 70+ WPM with high accuracy
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with iManage preferred
- Knowledge of legal terminology and document management practices
- Strong grammar, proofreading, and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Professional demeanor with the ability to build trust and work collaboratively

Pay Details: $55,000.00 to $60,000.00 per year
