Job Description
The Service Advisor Automotive plays a critical role in ensuring excellent customer service and efficient service department operations. They serve as the primary liaison between customers and the service team, coordinating vehicle inspections, parts, and service follow-ups. This role involves both in-person and remote interaction with customers, working across mixed vehicle types, and supporting service upselling efforts using dealer management systems for scheduling and invoicing.
Responsibilities
- Interact with customers in-person, by phone, and through email to address service needs
- Coordinate vehicle inspections and communicate findings to customers
- Manage parts ordering and coordination to support timely vehicle repairs
- Follow up with customers on service completion and satisfaction
- Act as a liaison for technical support between customers and the service team
- Maintain accurate documentation and service records using dealer management systems
- Engage in service upselling to promote additional maintenance and repair services
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in automotive service advising
- Associate Degree in Automotive Technology or related field
