Essential Job Functions
- Patrol client properties by foot to protect life and property and enforce client rules.
- Respond to and investigate disturbances, trespassing, thefts, assaults, burglaries, accidents, and other incidents.
- Coordinate with law enforcement for investigations and arrests.
- Conduct building security checks, direct traffic during emergencies or events, and engage with clients and residents regarding security concerns.
- Maintain positive relationships with clients, residents, and guests.
REQUIRED IN HOUSE TRAINING
- Newly hired officers will be trained in Handcuffing, PPCT, Defense tactics, Criminal Law, Basic Life Support, crisis intervention, and de-escalation tactics.
- (Training will be hands on, officers should be physically fit for training)

- Applicant understands this is a physical job which the officer may have to go hands on and handcuff a suspect.
- Applicant understands that they might be working around homeless, mentally ill, and dangerous individuals.
- Applicant understands that there may be times where they come in physical contact with individuals who carry HIV, AIDS, Hepatitis, and other diseases.
- Applicant understands they will be required to go through mandatory hands on training which includes being exposed to the Taser and OC spray. Also applicant will be required to be trained in PPCT which Code 3 Security offers. This course is not recommended for individuals who experience arm, knee, or back pain.
- Applicant understands that a multi state and federal background check will be conducted as well as a driving report.
- Applicant understands that if they are chosen for an in person interview, applicant should be dressed in business casual clothing. Applicants who do not follow the dress code or arrive late will be turned away and be allowed to reapply after a year. Applicants who do not show up for their interview will not be allowed to reapply.

Code 3 has donated and participated with Shop with a Cop, Melvindale's Santa Stops, Dearborn and Dearborn Heights Goodfellows "No Child without a Christmas", Dearborn Heights and Melvindale Trunk or Treat, Dearborn Heights Police Explorers Post, Meals on Wheels, multiple substance abuse programs across SE Michigan, and to the Michigan Humane Society.
