Position Overview

The New & Used Truck Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing all operations and performance of the sales department in the Western Region; Denver and Grand Junction, Colorado and Cheyenne, WY. Specializing in VOLVO products for both New and Used trucks. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong sales acumen, deep industry knowledge, and the ability to motivate and manage a team to achieve and exceed targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Territory Management – Assign and monitor territories and accounts.
  • Lead and manage the new and used truck sales team, including hiring, training, and performance reviews.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve dealership sales goals.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the purchasing team to ensure optimal stock.
  • Foster a high-performance sales culture through coaching, training, and accountability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and finance partners.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to stay competitive and informed.
  • Ensure compliance with dealership policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
  • Comply with all company policies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in truck sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial truck brands, models, and specifications (new and used).
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and use metrics to drive decisions.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid Commercial Driver’s license with a clean driving record.
