Job Title: Network Administrator
Location: Lansing, MI
Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/WLAN)

Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues
-
Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
-
Manage network security including access control, firewall rules, and IDS/IPS
-
Perform network upgrades, patches, and capacity planning
-
Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and procedures
-
Ensure network compliance with security and regulatory standards
-
Support incident response and disaster recovery activities
-
Collaborate with system administrators and application teams
-
Provide on-call or after-hours support as required
Required Skills & Qualifications
-
5+ years of experience as a Network Administrator
-
Strong knowledge of:
-
TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN
-
LAN/WAN technologies
-
-
Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking equipment
-
Experience with firewalls (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.)
-
Familiarity with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, etc.)
-
Knowledge of network security best practices
-
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

Network certifications (CCNA, CCNP, Network+)

Experience with cloud networking (AWS / Azure)

Experience in government or public sector projects
-
Knowledge of VoIP and wireless technologies

Experience with scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python – basic)
Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
