Vintage Realty Company is seeking an experienced full-time painter to complete our Maintenance team at Belle Savanne Apartment Homes in Lake Charles, Louisiana. The painter position is responsible for assisting in the make-ready process. This position is located at a Class A Apartment Community located in Lake Charles, Louisiana. This position is full-time (Hourly/non-exempt). Typical hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Job Duties:
- Efficiently complete all painting projects to ensure timely move-in’s
- Painting the interiors of apartments include preparing walls, spackling, plastering and caulking
- Calculate amounts of required materials and estimate costs, based on surface measurements or work orders.
- Strong focus on customer / resident satisfaction
- Received work orders and instruction from the Maintenance Supervisor to adequately determine work requirements
- Must possess the knowledge and skills to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines
- Customer service orientation and problem-solving skills essential
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of professional painting experience
- Must be able to read, speak and understand English for business purposes
- Must be able to read and write instructions, short correspondence, memos, service requests, and to converse with residents, co-workers, and vendors in a professional manner.
- Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment background investigation including criminal record search, employment verification, and drug screen
