Job DescriptionWe are looking for a dedicated Help Desk Analyst I to join our team in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. This long-term contract position involves providing hands-on IT support in a dynamic manufacturing environment across multiple buildings. You will play a critical role in maintaining end-user devices, troubleshooting technical issues, and participating in local IT projects.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver onsite technical support for laptops, desktops, and other end-user devices.
• Configure, install, and test hardware and software while documenting all activities in the ticketing system.
• Maintain and update asset inventory using tools like Lansweeper to ensure accurate tracking.
• Provide support for specialized devices such as Zebra label printers, handheld scanners, and other operational equipment.
• Collaborate with various teams including Service Desk, Telecom, and Maintenance to ensure seamless IT operations.
• Assist in local IT projects such as hardware upgrades, network enhancements, and printer deployments.
• Evaluate and assist with network cable installations, Wi-Fi setups, and infrastructure improvements.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering thorough and courteous support to end users.
• Follow up on open issues to guarantee resolution and user satisfaction.• Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Technical Degree preferred.
• CompTIA certifications such as A+ or Network+ are advantageous.
• 1–2 years of experience providing onsite IT support.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, M365, iOS, and Android operating systems.
• Knowledge of Active Directory and local network troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and asset management tools like Lansweeper.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting, prioritization, and independent work capabilities.
