Job Title: Senior Test and Integration Systems Engineer
Department: Raytheon Intelligence and Space, Vision Systems (RVS), Systems Integration and Test
Location: Goleta CA
Primary Mission
The Systems Integration and Test Department within Raytheon Intelligence and Space, Vision Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Test and Integration Systems Engineer. This role focuses on airborne electro optical and infrared surveillance and targeting sensor systems and supports the delivery of EO/IR Focal Plane Array sensor products from development through production.
Key Responsibilities
- Support integration, verification, and validation (IV&V), design verification testing (DVT), and production testing for EO/IR Focal Plane Array sensor systems
- Develop test plans and execute product test activities in support of engineering and production builds
- Support the Test Architect in developing and executing the test architecture from bid phase through production
- Contribute to test system design and collaborate with a multidisciplinary engineering team
- Work closely with operations and manufacturing teams to enable efficient product flow
- Provide actionable test and production metrics
- Minimize cycle time and maximize manufacturing yield
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience with test methodologies for sensor systems
- Background in optical performance, analysis, and test verification for EO/IR Focal Plane Array sensor systems or closely related development or production programs
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience developing and or executing factory test plans, procedures, and test equipment for EO/IR Focal Plane Array sensor systems and ROICs
- Prior experience with ROIC wafer probing, fabrication, integration, verification, and validation for complex EO/IR systems
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with test management, IPT leaders, hardware and software engineers, specialty engineers, program managers, and customers
- Experience using basic laboratory equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, and digital voltmeters
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related STEM discipline with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Or an advanced degree in a related field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Relevant experience includes airborne and or space EO/IR system test, integration, verification and validation testing, and product transition to production
