Reliant Security is seeking experienced 1099 low-voltage subcontractors to support security camera and structured cabling installations. This position is ideal for independent technicians who take pride in their work and are interested in long-term growth.
Typical work includes:
- Installing IP security cameras (interior & exterior)
- Running, terminating, and testing Cat6 cabling
- Mounting cameras, aiming, and basic setup
- Working from provided layouts and scopes
- Maintaining a clean and professional jobsite
Some projects may involve ladder or lift work.
Growth Opportunity
While this role begins as 1099 subcontractor work, there is potential for transition to a W-2 employee role, including:

✅ Requirements (Must Have)
- Proven experience in CCTV and low-voltage installations
- Ability to run and terminate Cat6
- Own tools and reliable transportation
- Comfortable working independently
- Professional communication and appearance
- Ability to provide install photos for close-out
- Must be eligible to work as a 1099 contractor
⭐ Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Commercial job experience
- Lift or scissor lift experience
- Alarm or access control experience
- NICET or low-voltage certifications (not required)
Independent Contractor Notice
This is not a W-2 position at the start.
Applicants must be operating as independent contractors and will be required to complete a W-9. Insurance is preferred.
