Amida Technology Solutions is seeking a Solutions Architect. As a Solutions Architect you will work with a dedicated team to develop applications in support of a federal agency. You will work closely with the stakeholders as well as other contractors to design solutions leveraging the agency's new cloud-based data platform, modernize the agency's data infrastructure, and improve the agency's data governance processes.
The solutions include end-user reporting and analytics applications as well as platform monitoring and management tools. This role will report to the Tech Project Manager. The ideal candidate will be motivated by the opportunity to support public agencies, nonprofit organizations, and private companies in transforming their data into actionable insights.
What you will do:
- Work with clients to gather user input and specify business and technical requirements
- Translate requirements to design specifications and aide Amida's development teams in the implementation of platform solutions
- Architect cloud-based solutions, both front-end, database, and reporting/visualization components, based on requirements and expected loads
- Lead the developers and visualization analysts through the implementation, ensuring adherence to Amida's development and testing processes and ensuring best practices for testing, code management, and deployment
Required Education:
- Bachelor's Degree, certification or equivalent work experience in Software Development
Required Experience:
- 10+ years of experience working on Software Solutions
- 5+ years of experience working on enterprise applications
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience producing HTML, CSS and JavaScript web application interfaces
- 5+ year's experience in .Net and Power BI development
- 5+ year's experience in database design
- 5+ years of business, functional, and technical analysis to generate requirements.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and drive to deliver best-in-class software products
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance
Preferred:
- Familiarity with VA infrastructure and data sources
- Proficiency in cloud architecture design patterns and best practices
- Strong experience with Azure cloud services
- Experience with AWS cloud services
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform
- Understanding of the unique design constraints of the United States Government (such as Section 508 Compliance)
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, HIPAA)
