We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, with possible Saturday work from 6:00 am to 12:00 pm. Flexibility is essential. You will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing mobile equipment, including internal combustion engines, transmissions, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Your expertise will allow you to work independently, ensuring the fleet's well-being and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair complex issues in mobile equipment.
- Utilize extensive knowledge of internal combustion engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
- Work independently to diagnose, identify, correct, repair, and return equipment to service.
- Rebuild major components such as engines, transmissions, pumps, and electrical systems.
- Use various tools and mechanical devices properly.
- Apply diagnostic tools proficiently for repair and maintenance.
- Direct and take responsibility for junior mechanics assisting with repairs.
- Communicate equipment issues and concerns to supervision and external technicians.
Essential Skills
- Extensive mechanical experience.
- Proficient in diesel engines, troubleshooting, and heavy equipment maintenance.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in hydraulics and electrical systems.
- Ability to perform heavy labor.
- Strong safety values and decision-making skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to use diagnostic tools such as multimeters and calipers.
- Experience with welding and repairing Caterpillar equipment.
- Organized and self-motivated.

Work Environment
The work environment consists of dirty but organized work areas, both indoors and outdoors, with work shifts during the day and night. Conditions can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter, requiring adaptability.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Morrisville, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
