SAP S/4HANA Financial Implementation Consultant - Manager
Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid)
Level: Manager
Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a government Secret clearance.
*Candidates must be able to obtain a Secret clearance and maintain that clearance throughout their employment with Montcure.

Job Summary:
Montcure, LLC is seeking a SAP S/4HANA Financial Implementation Consultant - Manager to lead the design, configuration, deployment, and optimization of SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI/CO) solutions for federal and commercial clients. The successful candidate will own solution architecture decisions, lead delivery workstreams across full-lifecycle implementations, mentor junior consultants, and ensure that delivered solutions are compliant, sustainable, and aligned with client objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Design & Configuration
- Lead requirements gathering and translate complex financial business requirements into SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI/CO) solution design and configuration.
- Configure and validate core Finance modules including General Ledger, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, and Profitability Analysis.
- Own the configuration of New Asset Accounting, the Universal Journal (ACDOCA), and parallel ledgers for multiple accounting principles.
Implementation & Delivery
- Lead workstreams across full-lifecycle implementations using the SAP Activate methodology.
- Lead solution architecture decisions, integration design across modules (MM, SD, PS), and data migration strategy; provide technical direction to delivery teams.
- Review functional specifications for RICEFW objects and coordinate with technical/ABAP teams.
- Plan and oversee unit, integration, and user acceptance testing; manage defect resolution.
Client Support & Governance
- Lead client workshops and serve as the primary functional point of contact for assigned workstreams.
- Mentor Senior-level consultants and review their deliverables.
- Ensure documentation, processes, and controls meet client and federal financial compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- SAP S/4HANA Finance certification preferred.
Experience:
- 8–15 years of SAP FI/CO experience with multiple full-lifecycle S/4HANA implementations, including a lead or solution-architect role.
- Deep hands-on configuration experience across General Ledger, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, and Controlling (CO).
- Strong experience with the Universal Journal (ACDOCA), New Asset Accounting, and integration with MM/SD.
- Experience leading workshops, managing workstreams, and mentoring junior consultants; federal/public-sector implementation experience strongly preferred.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of financial accounting and controlling business processes.
- Advanced proficiency in SAP S/4HANA Finance configuration and solution architecture.
- Proficiency developing and reviewing functional specifications for RICEFW objects.
- Strong command of the SAP Activate methodology, data migration tools, and integration testing.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and client-facing communication skills.
- Ability to lead a delivery team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Status: Contingency – This role is contingent upon award.
Salary*: $130,000 – $175,000, commensurate with experience, certifications, and clearance level.
