Harmony Home Energy is an energy conservation and energy code compliance testing and verification contractor specializing in residential energy services. We perform testing in accordance with the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) as well as the Residential Energy Services Network (RESNET). We are currently looking for a Part-Time RFI or BPI Envelope Professional to support our certified technicians in the Butler, Cranberry, and Pittsburgh Pennsylvania area. The position is primarily responsible for conducting onsite inspections and testing, including setting up test equipment and preparing homes for testing. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is seeking good pay for Very Flexible Hours. The position will pay at an hourly between $25-$30 per hour depending on the type of inspection.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge in basic construction and construction materials, and preferably a basic understanding of mechanical or electrical systems and components. The position requires the ability to lift or carry up to 50 lbs, to climb ladders or stairs, to work in a crouched or kneeling position, and to work with arms overhead. Preferred trainees practice good hygiene and will also have good communication and customer relations skills. Job and testing specific training will be given onsite by a senior technician.
Candidates will be responsible for confirming availability for scheduling in a timely manner as well as maintaining reliable transportation. Candidates will provide a weekly schedule of availability one week in advance, and will be on-call during regular hours Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5 pm with a 2 hour response time during regular hours and a 12 hour response time outside of regular hours. It is not mandatory to accept all field opportunities, only to respond within a timely manner.
Amount of hours worked will vary weekly based on customer needs. The part-time position usually will require field time 3 days per week, usually at $200.00-$250 per day, plus mileage.
Business related mileage is reimbursed at the IRS rate and travel time is paid at the hourly rate. The ideal candidate would be located within 15-20 miles of the I-79 corridor between Portersville, PA and Wexford, PA.
Must undergo a criminal background check and drug test.
