Job SummaryThe Assistant Manager has the primary responsibility for managing shifts, conveying the Daddy’s culture to their Crew members and Customers, as well as being a creative team player who likes to work hard, have fun, and show sincere dedication to Daddy’s. They will be responsible for upholding Daddy’s Chicken Shack standards for the Team Members’ and Customers’ experiences.
Overall Responsibilities and Requirements
Operations Management:
- Lead high-energy, hands-on shifts aligned with Daddy’s Chicken Shack’s mission: bringing all walks of life together, one life-altering chicken sandwich at a time
- Leverage company-provided tools to run high-performing shifts
- Monitor and ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met
- Act as a Customer advocate by communicating needs to Team Members to ensure satisfaction
- Resolve customer complaints professionally and tactfully
- Execute key shift performance measures and uphold food preparation standards
- Maintain accountability for restaurant performance both during and outside of scheduled shifts
- Cover the shifts of absent employees when necessary
- Ensure full adherence to all applicable health and safety rules and regulations
People Management:
- Coach and train Team Members on proper Daddy’s Chicken Shack procedures
- Assign duties and manage employee responsibilities during shifts
- Screen prospective applicants for alignment with company job qualifications
- Motivate Team Members to perform at their best during each shift
- Ensure the safety of both Team Members and Customers throughout the shift
- Report risk management issues to the General Manager
- Enforce adherence to the Daddy’s Chicken Shack uniform policy
Business Management:
- Support management in key business areas, including labor costs, waste monitoring, sales, and cost of goods
- Monitor daily cash handling procedures and ensure accuracy
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels; restock as needed
- Maintain accurate inventory data and report to the General Manager
- Provide regular productivity reports to upper management
- Respond with urgency to Team Member and Customer issues
Additional Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must be able, on occasion, to:
- Lift and carry, push or pull heavy objects up to 50 pounds
- Kneel, bend, stoop, ascend/descend stairs
- Reach and grasp objects
- Must meet the intellectual and physical demands required to perform the job's essential functions (reasonable accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities)
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED
- Previous food service experience
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, restaurant management software, and POS software
- Ability to remain calm and thrive under pressure
- Excellent management and leadership skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
