We are looking for a creative and reliable Floral Clerk to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will assist with the preparation, display, and care of fresh flowers and floral arrangements while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate has a passion for flowers, an eye for detail, and enjoys working in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and process floral deliveries, including trimming and hydrating flowers
- Receiving customer phone calls and orders throughout the day
- Maintain floral displays, ensuring they are attractive, fresh, and well-stocked
- Assist customers with selecting flowers and placing custom orders
- Provide recommendations based on occasion, budget, and preferences
- Operate the register and handle transactions as needed
- Follow proper care and handling procedures to extend the life of floral products
Qualifications:
- Previous retail or floral experience preferred, but not required
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of flowers and plants is a plus, but not required
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
