About the role
We're building a UI where an AI agent does the heavy lifting. Our platform lets restaurant operators manage menus, ingredients, and operations through a natural, agent-driven interface — backed by a cloud-native microservices architecture moving fast toward production.
You'd be one of the early engineers on a small team, which means real ownership, broad impact, and a chance to shape how we build.

End-to-end features across a modern TypeScript stack — frontend to backend to infrastructure

The agent-driven UI layer that sits at the core of our product

AI-powered workflows and agent systems using Google Vertex AI

Distributed microservices communicating over gRPC and RabbitMQ

Infrastructure on Docker locally, Terraform and AWS in production
What You Bring to the Table

3+ Years of Experience with Node.Js

Are fluent in TypeScript and comfortable jumping between layers of the stack

Have shipped production Node.js services and aren't afraid of distributed systems complexity

Move fast but care about correctness — you know when to slow down

Communicate well and are comfortable making decisions with limited context

Are excited about AI and want to build with it, not just talk about it
Our hybrid model requires 3 days a week in the office. That said, many team members choose to come in more often to take advantage of in-person collaboration and connection. You're welcome—and encouraged—to be in the office up to 5 days a week if it works for you.
NY/NJ Salary: $208,500 - $216,500 per year.
Wonder uses geographic-specific salary structures, which means the salary offered may vary depending on where the job is located. The final salary offer will take into account various factors, such as the candidate's skills, education, training, credentials, and experience.
