Prime Capital Investment Advisors is seeking a motivated and technically inclined IT Support Intern to join our Information Technology team. This position provides hands-on experience supporting internal users, troubleshooting IT issues, and assisting in day-to-day technology operations. The ideal candidate is currently pursuing a degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field and is eager to gain practical experience in a fast-paced professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level support to users on hardware, software, and network issues.
- Assist in the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of laptops, desktops, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Support IT staff with system configurations and documentation.
- Participate in routine maintenance tasks, including software updates and system backups.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in handling user issues.
- Assist with the inventory and tracking of IT assets.
Requirements:Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office environments.
- A+ Certification is a plus, or willingness to pursue one.
- Local to Overland Park, KS – no relocation or sponsorship provided.
Compensation & Hours
- Internship compensation will be hourly, based on experience and academic level.
- Flexible scheduling available based on course commitments (25-29 hours/week expected).
