We are working with a global manufacturing company with a need for off-shift maintenance supervisors to support their large heavy manufacturing operation in the South Cleveland area (Newburgh Heights). The facility has a strong book of business for the next 8-10 years and offers opportunity for growth in maintenance, project management, or operations.
Under the direction of the Maintenance Area Lead, this position is responsible for training, coaching, and motivating hourly crafts personnel to provide reliable equipment consistent with customer quality and delivery requirements. Direct reports include a group of hourly personnel assigned to their area and shift. The incumbent communicates continually with the Engineering and EHS Departments, as well as with Control Technicians and Maintenance Leads. Externally, they communicate with vendors and contractors.
Basic Qualifications
For this position to be successful, the incumbent should have:
- A High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 3 years of maintenance supervisory experience within a heavy manufacturing environment or a minimum of 1 year supervisory experience in the Military.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a unionized work environment.
- Troubleshooting experience on hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Availability to work 2nd Shift (6a-2:30p) or 3rd Shift (10p-6:30a).
- Must have a US persons status due to ITAR requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference is given to candidates with:
- A technical college degree, journeyman status, or a military equivalent;
- Experience with Allen Bradley programmable logic controllers.
- Working knowledge of motor control centers and distribution control systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in and lead a multi-dimensional team.
Offering
- Base salary is $85K - $100K based on experience and credentials.
- Overtime - $125/paid in 2 hour blocks for all time worked over 40 hours - weekends are all overtime (16 hours or 8 - 2hr blocks pay $1,000) and holidays are double time.
- Annual bonus, 401K w/6% match, an additional 3% contribution to the 401K and full benefit package starts on first day.
