Job DescriptionThis Front Desk Receptionist role is primarily patient-facing and operations-focused. It does not involve insurance verification or inbound call management, as those functions are handled by our centralized call center. Instead, the role plays a critical part in ensuring a smooth, welcoming, and well-organized in-office patient experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Checking patients in and confirming scheduled appointments
- Making outbound calls to schedule patients when their are open appointments
- Collecting patient payments and managing point-of-service transactions
- Tracking incoming hearing aid equipment and coordinating timely patient pickups
- Contacting patients when their hearing aids arrive and scheduling fitting appointments as needed by the provider
- Developing a foundational understanding of hearing aids to assist patients with basic troubleshooting and common questions
Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using computer software for scheduling, record-keeping, and communication.
- Compassion, empathy, and a genuine desire to improve the lives of patients with loss.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting or a related field preferred.
