Job Summary


As a Front Desk Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors. This role is essential to the daily operations of the office and to creating a positive patient experience. Responsibilities include answering phones, scheduling appointments, greeting patients, managing patient information, and supporting smooth front desk operations. The ideal candidate is organized, detail oriented, and comfortable in a fast paced medical setting.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answer incoming calls and route them appropriately
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments
  • Register new patients and update existing patient information
  • Verify insurance information and collect co payments
  • Maintain an organized and professional front desk area
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow
  • Respond to patient questions and provide excellent customer service
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and faxes
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient

Qualifications

  • Previous front desk or medical office experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Comfortable using computers and EMR systems
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance is a plus
  • Bilingual English and Spanish strongly preferred
