This is not a desk-only management position. We're looking for a hands-on leader who enjoys developing people, creating accountability, solving problems, and keeping a fast-moving operation organized.
The Operations Manager reports directly to the General Manager and works closely with our Sales, Administration, and Leadership teams.

- Implement and enforce quality-control procedures
- Track callbacks, punch-list items, and workmanship issues
- Identify recurring issues and eliminate their root causes
- Maintain jobsite safety standards and accountability
- Conduct regular safety inspections

Warranties & Customer Resolution
- Oversee workmanship warranty claims and callbacks
- Ensure customer concerns are addressed quickly and professionally
- Coordinate repairs and corrective work

Operational Performance
- Maintain and report operational KPIs and scorecards
- Participate in weekly leadership and operations meetings
- Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks
- Work with the General Manager to continuously improve SOPs, workflows, and systems
- Protect project margins by reducing waste, rework, unnecessary labor, and operational mistakes
- Help build scalable processes that support Northline's continued growth
What Success Looks Like
A successful Operations Manager creates an environment where:
- Projects start and finish when they're supposed to
- Teams know exactly what's expected of them
- Project Supervisors and field teams are held accountable
- Subcontractors consistently meet company standards
- Customers receive proactive communication
- Jobsites are clean, safe, and professional
- Quality issues are identified before they become customer problems
- Warranty issues are handled quickly
- Sales and Operations work effectively together
- Problems are solved at their root cause instead of repeatedly resurfacing
Ultimately, your job is to make our operation organized, accountable, efficient, and predictable.
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience managing operations, production, or field teams in a home services, construction, or similar service-based business
- Has experience leading employees and/or subcontractors
- Is highly organized and comfortable managing multiple projects, crews, and priorities
- Has demonstrated the ability to hold people accountable and maintain high standards
- Is comfortable having difficult conversations when expectations aren't being met
- Has strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Is comfortable using technology, CRMs, scheduling platforms, and operational scorecards
- Thinks in terms of systems and root causes rather than temporary fixes
- Takes ownership and acts proactively
- Thrives in a fast-paced, growing organization
- Enjoys developing people and building strong teams
Home services experience is preferred but not required. Roofing experience is not necessary.
We're more interested in finding a proven operator and people leader who knows how to manage moving pieces, create accountability, develop a team, and consistently execute at a high level.
Why Northline?
We're building more than a roofing company. We're building an organization where talented people can grow, take ownership, develop as leaders, and build meaningful careers.
Northline is growing, improving, and investing in the people and systems required for our next stage.
If you're energized by leading people, improving systems, solving problems, and creating accountability, we'd like to meet you.
