This role focuses on maintaining and improving infrastructure that supports retail systems at scale. The Store Labs Support Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, supporting, and maintaining infrastructure components that support critical retail and lab operations. This role works closely with technical teams, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure systems are reliable, scalable, and aligned with enterprise standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, build, test, and implement infrastructure components based on project and service requirements
- Participate in technical design and construction activities to understand system requirements and infrastructure impact
- Monitor system capacity, performance, and overall operational health
- Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate issues impacting infrastructure and application performance
- Install, maintain, and support servers, PCs, and low voltage systems
- Perform routine maintenance on existing platforms and infrastructure components
- Support disaster recovery planning, documentation, and testing activities
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for platforms, services, and infrastructure components
- Adhere to change management, incident management, and enterprise IT standards and best practices
- Collaborate with team members to promote reuse and consistency in technical build and support processes
- Stay current on platform capabilities, infrastructure technologies, and industry best practices
- Partner with project managers to resolve requirement gaps identified during design or implementation
Qualifications
Required
- Five to seven years of overall professional experience in infrastructure, systems, or technical support roles
- One to three years of experience working in an agile environment
- Experience supporting inventory and technical operations
- Strong background in low voltage troubleshooting and maintenance
- PC troubleshooting, repair, and support experience
- Server installation, configuration, and maintenance experience
- Ability to monitor systems and identify performance or capacity issues
- Strong communication skills with the ability to document and explain technical concepts
- Self starter who can work independently and take initiative
Preferred
- Experience with health monitoring and alerting tools
- Familiarity with IT Service Management processes
- Software engineering or scripting experience
- Scrum or Agile certification
- In depth knowledge of modern engineering approaches across design, build, testing, and debugging
