Store Director – Grocery Market

Overview
We’re seeking a dynamic and hands-on Store Director to lead our grocery market with energy, vision, and a commitment to excellence. Located less than one hour outside of Reno, NV, this store serves as a vital part of the local community. In this role, you’ll foster a culture of continuous improvement, drive operational consistency, and inspire teams to deliver an outstanding customer experience. Your leadership will directly impact associate morale and help us thrive in a competitive marketplace.
Relocation & Housing Assistance
To support a smooth transition, we offer a $3,000 relocation allowance for eligible candidates relocating from outside the area. We also provide subsidized housing for the first year, helping ease the cost of living and ensuring a comfortable start in your new role. Our team is here to assist every step of the way.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead by example—our managers are expected to be actively present on the store floor, engaging with team members and customers, not just working from the office.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming, responsive shopping experience.
- Ensure product quality, freshness, and presentation meet company standards.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and merchandising to maintain optimal product assortment.
- Adapt product offerings to align with seasonal trends and holidays.
- Maintain accurate pricing and signage throughout the store.
- Develop weekly staffing schedules that align with projected sales and customer needs.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience in a retail grocery environment (minimum 2 years).
- Strong customer service skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to lead collaboratively and work independently.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency in basic math and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, lifting (up to 40 lbs), pushing, pulling, and climbing stairs.
- Use of tools such as box cutters and knives.
- Repetitive stretching and lifting throughout the day.
