Job Description
This role focuses on troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving facility and HVAC systems within a manufacturing and warehouse environment. The Facilities Maintenance Technician performs operational and preventive maintenance on building and process equipment, supports waste management activities, and collaborates closely with engineers to install and optimize new systems. The position also plays a key role in ensuring that all maintenance work meets safety, quality, and budget standards while supporting and training other technicians.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and maintain facility and HVAC equipment and systems to ensure reliable and efficient operation.
- Perform plumbing work throughout the facility, including repairs and maintenance as needed.
- Carry out operational and preventive maintenance procedures on facilities and process equipment.
- Work closely with engineers to resolve technical issues and to plan for acquiring and installing new equipment or systems.
- Install new facility and process equipment in accordance with specifications and safety standards.
- Assume a leadership role in training, mentoring, and supporting new technicians on maintenance procedures and best practices.
- Support waste management tasks to ensure safe and compliant handling and disposal processes.
- Monitor facility and HVAC systems and recommend modifications or improvements to enhance performance and reliability.
- Maintain facility data collection requirements and procedures, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of maintenance activities.
- Identify nonconformances when they occur and participate actively in developing and implementing effective solutions.
- Ensure all facilities maintenance work follows safety standards, conforms to technical specifications, and that work orders are tracked and completed within budgeted guidelines.
Essential Skills
- Extensive experience in facilities maintenance, including HVAC systems and general repair work.
- Hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of industrial and commercial equipment.
- Commercial facilities maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production setting.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues with facility, HVAC, and process equipment.
- Knowledge of and adherence to safety standards and maintenance best practices.
- Capability to monitor systems and suggest modifications for improvement.
- Strong organizational skills to track work orders and complete tasks within budgeted guidelines.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with engineers and support other technicians.
- Ability to identify nonconformances and contribute to practical, long-term solutions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in a highly regulated manufacturing or production environment.
- Plumbing experience, preferably in an industrial or commercial setting.
- Experience supporting waste management processes within a facility.
- Experience installing new facilities and process equipment.
- Experience training or mentoring other technicians.
- Comfort working in a manufacturing and warehouse facility environment.

Work Environment
The role is based in a manufacturing and warehouse facility environment that operates with structured processes and a strong focus on safety and reliability. The technician works with industrial and commercial equipment, facility systems, and HVAC infrastructure, performing hands-on maintenance, repair, and installation tasks. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a 30-minute lunch break, providing consistent daytime hours. The environment may involve working in various areas of the facility, including production and warehouse spaces, and requires adherence to all safety procedures and site protocols.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
