Manual Machinist
Location: Fairfield, IA (On-Site)
Shift: Day Shift | Monday–Friday
Pay Rate: $25–$30/hour
Job Type: Full-Time
We're looking for an experienced Manual Machinist to join a growing manufacturing team specializing in precision tooling and aluminum mold production. If you have experience with manual lathes, milling machines, blueprint reading, and precision machining, we'd love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Operate manual lathes and milling machines to manufacture precision components.
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed.
- Perform routine machine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Produce high-quality parts while maintaining tight tolerances and production standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience operating manual lathes and manual milling machines.
- Strong blueprint reading skills.
- Proficiency with precision measuring tools, including:

- Micrometers
- Calipers
- Tape Measures
- Rulers
- Scribes
- GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Knowledge of Bridgeport EZ-Trak, Autodesk Fusion, or similar CAM software is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Manufacturing or machining experience.
- CNC machining experience is a plus but not required.
- Experience producing precision machined components.
