Step into a dynamic role supporting students as a Special Education Teacher, working with middle school learners in a self-contained, non-severe environment. This full-time contract opportunity is available immediately and runs through June 4, 2027, offering you the chance to make a meaningful impact across multiple school years.

You’ll be part of a collaborative educational community dedicated to providing individualized instruction and fostering the academic and personal growth of students. The typical work week is Monday through Friday, with hours from 7:15am to 3:15pm, totaling 37.5 hours per week.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid teaching license with Special Education endorsement (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Experience working with middle-grade students in a self-contained classroom preferred
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and colleagues
  • Familiarity with current best practices in special education and behavior management
  • Dedication to creating a supportive, inclusive, and positive classroom environment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction to students with diverse learning needs in a self-contained classroom
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs and behavioral intervention plans
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and administrators
  • Maintain clear, ongoing communication with students’ families
  • Track progress toward academic and behavioral goals, using data to inform instruction
  • Create a welcoming and structured environment conducive to learning and growth
