Job DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled Systems Administrator to join our team in Northlake, Illinois. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers the opportunity to work in the transport industry, focusing on managing and maintaining IT systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in hardware and software troubleshooting, network security, and server maintenance.
Responsibilities:
• Provide technical support by addressing desktop software and hardware issues for department heads and users.
• Collaborate with external organizations to resolve advanced technical challenges and implement security fixes.
• Monitor server performance, ensuring optimal health and robust security measures.
• Manage server backups, guaranteeing data integrity and recovery capabilities.
• Oversee network health and security within a Meraki environment to maintain efficient connectivity.
• Administer and update the company's SharePoint 365 intranet environment for seamless collaboration.
• Perform hardware installation, configuration, and removal of devices such as PCs, laptops, printers, and scales.
• Implement and maintain virus and malware protection software, promptly resolving contamination issues.• Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT systems administration or related roles.
• Proficiency in configuring and maintaining Hyper-V environments.
• Strong knowledge of hardware and software configuration.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Windows 11.
• Familiarity with service desk ticketing systems to track and resolve user issues.
• Competence in managing Active Directory for user access and authentication.
• Understanding of Meraki network systems and their security protocols.
