Experienced Security Installation Technician
Full-Time

About the Position
Homeland Security & Life Safety Systems, LLC is seeking experienced, dependable technicians to join our team. We are looking for professionals who take pride in their work, pay attention to detail, and deliver clean, high-quality installations in commercial environments.

Responsibilities
• Install and service commercial burglar alarm systems
• Install and configure IP CCTV systems
• Install and service access control systems
• Install intercom systems
• Read and interpret floor plans
• Pull and terminate Cat5/Cat6 and fiber cabling
• Address and configure IP cameras
• Test and troubleshoot system issues
• Maintain company vehicle inventory
Projects include commercial buildings, banks, retail locations, and new construction sites.
Qualifications
• 1–5 years of field experience installing and troubleshooting CCTV, alarm systems & access control systems
• Experience terminating RJ-45 Cat5/Cat6 modules
• Experience using digital multimeters and network testers
• Proficient with hand tools and power tools
• Ability to read blueprints and floor plans
• Valid New Jersey driver’s license
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Comfortable working at heights (ladders, scissor lifts, boom lifts)
• Ability to climb, crawl, and work overhead
Manufacturer Experience Preferred
Security: DMP, Bosch, Honeywell
IP CCTV: Hanwha, Axis, Verint, Exacq, Avigilon
Access Control: Lenel, Software House, Brivo, AMAG, WINPAK

Location Requirement
