Simma's Bakery is seeking an experienced Cake Assembler to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years of experience decorating cakes or 2+ years of experience and recent culinary degree. The most important qualifications are speed and maintaining a consistent level of quality, if you do not meet the minimum experience requirements listed but feel that you have the required skills please explain in your cover letter.
We are looking for someone who is excited about this career and willing to put in the hours to meet the increasing demand for our cakes.
Work schedule
- Monday- Friday, 8am - 4pm, or until all work for the day is completed.
Duties
- Assemble our signature cheesecakes.
- Ice cakes quickly and efficiently.
- Cover cakes with chocolate ganache.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food handling regulations.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring supplies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with cakes or a similar role within the culinary or food industry.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced bakery environment while maintaining quality standards.
- Must take direction well and have a willingness to learn.
Compensation
- $16-18+ depending on skills and level of experience
