Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a Landscape Maintenance Supervisor to oversee landscaping and grounds maintenance operations at multiple facilities. The supervisor will manage crews, schedule work, inspect completed tasks, and ensure high-quality landscape maintenance and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

Develop work schedules and assign daily tasks to landscaping crews
Supervise routine landscape maintenance such as mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, and debris removal
Inspect work in progress and completed tasks to ensure quality standards are met
Identify landscape maintenance needs and coordinate repairs or improvements
Ensure proper use, maintenance, and safety of landscaping equipment and tools
Maintain safe working conditions and enforce OSHA safety standards
Coordinate seasonal services including mulching, leaf removal, and general grounds cleanup
Communicate with management regarding project status, site conditions, and crew performance
Maintain records of completed work, inspections, and maintenance activities
Order or replace damaged equipment, tools, or materials as needed
Supervise snow removal operations when required
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in landscaping or maintenance
Experience with landscaping equipment and hand tools
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Ability to perform physical outdoor work

Required Certifications

DC and VA Pesticide Applicator License
Horticulture Certificate or Degree

Additional Requirements

Valid driver’s license
Ability to communicate in English
DC residency preferred
