Database Administrator (DBA)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to support, maintain, and optimize enterprise database environments. This role is responsible for ensuring database performance, availability, security, and data integrity while supporting business-critical applications. The DBA will collaborate closely with infrastructure, application, and business teams to deliver reliable and scalable database solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain database platforms across supported environments
  • Manage database versions, patches, and upgrades (2019–2022 supported releases)
  • Monitor database performance and proactively tune queries, indexes, and configurations
  • Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
  • Ensure high availability and reliability of production and non-production databases
  • Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide root cause analysis
  • Manage security, access controls, and compliance-related database configurations
  • Support application deployments and data migrations
  • Document database standards, procedures, and operational processes
  • Collaborate with developers, system administrators, and infrastructure teams

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a Database Administrator
  • Strong experience administering enterprise database systems
  • Proven expertise in performance tuning, backup/recovery, and troubleshooting
  • Experience supporting production environments with high availability requirements
  • Strong understanding of database security and best practices
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud-based database platforms
  • Familiarity with automation, scripting, or monitoring tools
  • Experience supporting regulated or compliance-driven environments
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
