Job Requirements:Applicants must possess a valid Class A CDL with a good driving record and meet all DOT qualification requirements. HazMat and Tanker endorsements are required, or the applicant must be willing and able to obtain them. Candidates must have a current DOT medical card and be able to pass all required pre-employment screenings, including a drug test and background/MVR review. Drivers must be able to safely operate a tractor-trailer and liftgate, use a pallet jack, load and unload freight, secure freight, and perform the physical duties associated with pickup and delivery work.Applicants must be dependable, safety-conscious, able to work independently, and provide professional customer service.
Job Description:Panama Transfer is seeking a dependable and safety-focused CDL Class A Day Route Driver to join our team. This position is responsible for the safe and timely pickup and delivery of freight to customers along an assigned route. Drivers must be able to safely operate a tractor-trailer and liftgate, load and unload freight using a pallet jack or other appropriate equipment, properly secure freight, and make deliveries at locations that may not have a loading dock. Additional responsibilities include completing required paperwork, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintaining professional communication with customers and dispatch, and following all company policies and DOT regulations.Applicants must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position and safely work in a variety of driving and weather conditions. This is a home-daily, day-route position with no weekends.
