Boutique, dynamic Minneapolis law firm seeks an immigration attorney with 3+ years experience to join our immigration team. We do family based immigration, asylum, deportation defense, etc. The ideal associate works well independently, is able to multi-task, has superior attention to detail, enjoys going to court, and has strong writing and verbal skills. You must have a J.D. and be admitted to practice in Minnesota. Please send resume and cover letter with salary requirements. Spanish speaking is a plus, but not required.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Immigration Attorney located in Minneapolis, MN. The position involves providing legal counsel and support for cases related to immigration law. Day-to-day tasks include managing client relationships, preparing and filing visa applications, representing clients in legal proceedings, advising on immigration-related legal matters, and ensuring compliance with immigration laws. The attorney will collaborate closely with clients and colleagues in a professional and fast-paced environment to deliver effective legal solutions.


Qualifications

  • Expert knowledge of Immigration Law and experience handling Immigration Issues
  • Handing Asylum Application, Deportation Defense, Habeas Petitions
  • I-130 Applications, N-400 Applications, Family based immigration
  • Proficiency in filing and managing various Visas
  • Ability to work on complex Legal Issues related to immigration
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active license to practice law
  • Experience practicing law in immigration cases is preferred
  • Fluency in additional languages is a plus
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
