ru Comfort LLC is seeking a reliable, skilled, and professional In-Home Furniture Repair Technician to join our growing service team. This position requires hands-on experience with furniture repairs, excellent customer service, and the ability to work independently in the field. The ideal candidate will travel within a 100-mile radius of their home base, performing a variety of warranty repair services in customers' homes.

Responsibilities:

Drive to customers’ homes within a 100-mile radius to perform furniture repairs.

Schedule appointments directly with customers, providing a 3-hour time window for arrival.

Evaluate and perform repairs on upholstered and wood furniture, including but not limited to:
-
Cleaning and restoring furniture surfaces
-
Repairing broken boards or frames
-
Installing manufacturer-provided replacement parts
-
Performing finish repairs on wood surfaces (e.g., tables, chairs)
-
Installing mechanisms, power adaptors, motors, switches, arm/back casings, and deck components.

Complete each job efficiently and timely, ensuring high-quality workmanship.

Document each repair job by submitting:

Before and after photos
-
Overall job pictures
-
Model and serial numbers of parts used (especially motors and mechanisms)

A detailed written report for the warranty companies.

Requirements:

Must own a reliable vehicle capable of transporting tools and parts.

Willingness to drive up to 100 miles from their location on a daily basis.

Ability to self-schedule and manage customer routes.

Experience with furniture assembly, upholstery, finish repairs, and installation of furniture components.( preferred but not required )

Must be able to use smartphone/tablet to document jobs and communicate efficiently.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow warranty service protocols.

Must maintain a professional appearance and dress appropriately for customer-facing work.
Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in furniture repair or field service work.

Familiarity with warranty service procedures.

Technical background in carpentry, upholstery, or mechanical installation.
