The Application Administrator will serve as the primary in-house resource for managing, supporting, and training users on our suite of legal and office applications. While our core infrastructure is maintained by a Managed Service Provider (MSP), this role will focus on ensuring optimal performance and user experience for our legal and office software tools. The ideal candidate will work closely with the helpdesk team and report directly to the Director of IT.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, support, and maintain legal applications including iManage, LawBase, , iTimeKeep, CompuLaw and other firm-specific tools.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for application-related issues, escalations, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with the helpdesk team to transition and streamline application support responsibilities.
- Work with users to find and execute on process improvement opportunities.
- Develop and deliver user training sessions, documentation, and onboarding materials.
- Liaise with vendors and MSPs to coordinate updates, patches, and integrations.
- Monitor application performance and usage, recommending improvements where necessary.
- Assist in application rollouts, upgrades, and testing.
- Ensure compliance with firm policies, security standards, and legal industry best practices.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in application administration, preferably in a legal or professional services environment.
- Familiarity with legal applications such as iManage, LexisNexis, iTimeKeep, LawBase and CompuLaw.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to train and support users with varying levels of technical proficiency.
- Experience working with MSPs and third-party vendors is a plus.
- Knowledge of security practices and ticketing systems is beneficial.
