Position Type:
Contract – 15 weeks from start date

Rate:
Up to $16.60/hour

Schedule:
Weekend shifts required – Saturdays and Sundays

Requirements:

• Current and valid driver’s license required for community-based homes

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with individuals with disabilities

Responsibilities:

• Assist with day-to-day tasks

• Transport and accompany individuals to doctor appointments or community outings

• Administer simple prescribed medications (if certified)

• Assist individuals with personal care

• Log services provided to individuals

• Provide companionship and basic emotional or psychological support

Description:
An employee in this role is responsible for the specialized care of individuals with Developmental Disabilities. Work involves providing individualized care under professional direction, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), maintaining living units properly, and guiding individuals through personalized program plans and leisure activities.

Work is performed following established procedures under the close supervision of a higher-level supervisor, who monitors activities through daily observation, assessment of individuals’ responsiveness, inspections, reports, and periodic meetings. Staff are required to follow a designated shift routine as outlined by the supervisor.
