Job Description

About the Role:

Build leaders. Strengthen communities. Elevate service.

Kuester Management Group is seeking an experienced Regional Manager to serve as a mentor, coach, and strategic partner to our Community Managers. This is not a traditional supervisory role focused on discipline or metrics. Instead, it is a people-centered leadership position designed to develop talent, strengthen board relationships, and champion best practices across a regional portfolio.

If you are passionate about guiding professionals, solving complex challenges, and helping teams grow in confidence and capability, this may be the opportunity for you.

In alignment with Kuester’s mission to deliver reliable, relationship-centered, and forward-thinking community management, the Regional Manager plays a vital role in reinforcing operational integrity, adaptability, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do:

Portfolio Management

To ensure the Regional Manager can properly balance community management with their primary focus on mentorship and professional development, this role carries a reduced and strategically assigned portfolio. A smaller strategically designed portfolio allows the Regional Manager to remain connected to day-to-day management realities while dedicating meaningful time to coaching, availability, and team support.

Mentor & Develop Community Managers

A key part of the Regional Manager role is to serve as a trusted advisor and coach to their assigned team of community managers. This role provides guidance on board relationships, governance, and community operations and helps managers navigate difficult or sensitive situations through conducting regular one-on-one check-ins centered on growth, engagement and solutions.

Provide Day-to-Day Team Support

This role will provide day-to-day team support by providing time-off coordination and coverage planning, helping assigned managers balance workloads during peak periods or transitions, assisting with operational questions, and providing proactive support before issues escalate.

Strengthen Board & Portfolio Partnerships

The Regional Manager maintains strong relationships across an assigned group of communities and serves as a trusted resource for escalated or complex matters. This role attends Board meetings as needed to support Community Managers while offering insight on governance, operational best practices, and long-range planning. Through consistent partnership and service excellence, the Regional Manager helps identify opportunities to enhance service delivery, strengthen client satisfaction, and encourage referrals within the portfolio.

Champion Operational Excellence

The Regional Manager remains informed on industry trends and regulatory developments, bringing forward innovative ideas and proven methods that strengthen service delivery. This role contributes to the refinement of internal processes and actively promotes consistency, collaboration, and quality across teams to ensure communities receive reliable and forward-thinking support.

Contribute to Company Leadership

The Regional Manager actively participates in monthly leadership meetings and works collaboratively across departments to strengthen alignment and shared accountability. By partnering closely with Directors, this role helps identify opportunities for executive leadership to better support teams, remove obstacles, and enhance the resources needed for employees and communities to succeed.

Hybrid Work & Flexibility:

This role follows a hybrid structure that blends flexibility with meaningful in-person engagement.

Office time is designed for mentorship, collaboration, and problem-solving. Remote time is used for focused work, community visits, planning, and virtual support. Success in this role is measured by impact and outcomes, not time spent at a desk.

What Success Looks Like:

Success in this role means Community Managers feel confident, supported, and well prepared to lead their portfolios. Boards view Kuester as a knowledgeable and dependable partner, challenges are addressed earlier and resolved more effectively, and best practices are consistently shared across teams. Through this leadership, collaboration deepens, and the organization grows stronger together.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of HOA/COA management experience.
  • AMS required; PCAM preferred.
  • Proven success in board relations.
  • Experience mentoring or coaching professionals.
  • Strong knowledge of community governance and operations.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to influence and guide without formal enforcement authority.
