Job Description

Forward Deployed Engineer - Tech Unicorn

\n

NYC or LA, onsite

\n

\n

We're hiring an engineer who wants to own problems end to end, not just close tickets. This is a forward deployed role at a fast scaling, well funded company (recently crossed a $1B valuation) building the software platform that engineering teams use to run and test mission critical hardware. You'll sit with real customers, figure out where things break, and build the fix yourself.

\n

\n

What you'll actually be doing

\n

\n

    \n
  • Embed with customers after onboarding, dig into where their workflows hit friction, and build custom solutions on the spot, not a canned playbook
  • \n

  • Take the stuff you build in the field and generalize it into the core product when it's useful beyond one customer
  • \n

  • Go from zero to one constantly, there's no backlog handed to you, you're finding the problem worth solving and shipping it
  • \n

  • Travel to client sites (roughly 25%, sometimes more depending on what's active) and treat that time as the job, not a distraction from it
  • \n

\n

\n

Who we're looking for

\n

\n

    \n
  • You'd rather sit with a customer and watch how they actually work than read a spec written by someone who did
  • \n

  • You've got a real track record shipping production software, strong engineering fundamentals, stack agnostic
  • \n

  • You get genuine energy from solving someone else's hard, messy problem, not just an abstract one
  • \n

  • You've built things nobody asked for because you saw the gap yourself, that instinct matters more to us than years of experience
  • \n

  • You're comfortable being the most senior person in the room on a client site and making the call
  • \n

  • This isn't a role for someone who wants to stay heads down. If you want direct customer impact, real ownership, and a seat close to the people actually using what you build, we want to talk.
  • \n
