Field Service Engineer – X-ray & Ultrasound
Field-Based | Regional Travel Required
Full-Time | Primarily Monday–Friday | Occasional Evenings/Weekends

Summary / Objective
A leading provider of medical imaging repair and maintenance is seeking a skilled and experienced Field Service Engineer specializing in X-ray and Ultrasound equipment. Candidates must have hands-on experience with these modalities. This role is vital for supporting our healthcare partners through equipment troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and exceptional customer service.
Essential Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain X-ray and Ultrasound imaging systems (multi-vendor).
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, calibration, and system verification.
- Independently manage field service calls, equipment evaluations, and technical troubleshooting.
- Provide timely and accurate service documentation per company quality standards.
- Coordinate with account managers to communicate service details and client needs.
- Maintain and manage company assets including tools, test equipment, and inventory.
- Continually build knowledge of imaging technology to expand expertise.
- Deliver outstanding customer service in high-pressure, time-sensitive environments.
Required Experience & Skills
- Must have formal training and 3+ years of hands-on field experience servicing X-ray and Ultrasound systems.
- Multi-vendor experience preferred (GE, Siemens, Philips, Canon, etc.).
- Experience with CT and contrast injectors is a plus.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
Work Schedule
- Monday–Friday, standard daytime hours.
- Occasional evenings and weekends based on customer need.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, and regular use of hands.
- Clear speech and hearing required for customer interaction and troubleshooting.
Travel Requirements
- Frequent travel to customer sites within a 4-hour radius.
- Occasional overnight stays or air travel required.
Work Environment
- Field-based role involving travel to hospitals, clinics, and imaging centers.
- Exposure to a variety of diagnostic imaging systems in clinical environments.

Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
