Role Description The Physical Therapy Aide is a full-time, on-site role based in Tinton Falls, NJ, supporting licensed physical therapists in the delivery of patient care. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing treatment areas and equipment, assisting patients with exercises under therapist supervision, and helping maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinic environment. The role involves greeting patients, managing basic administrative tasks such as scheduling support and documentation assistance, and monitoring patient comfort during therapy sessions. The Physical Therapy Aide collaborates with the clinical team to ensure efficient workflow and a positive patient experience, while adhering to all facility policies and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Foundational knowledge of Physical Therapy principles and treatment support, preferably in an outpatient or rehabilitation setting.

  • Understanding of Exercise Physiology, including safe execution of therapeutic exercises and proper body mechanics.
  • \n

  • Strong Communication skills, with the ability to follow clinical instructions accurately and interact effectively with patients and team members.
  • \n

  • Demonstrated Patient Care skills, including attentiveness, empathy, and respect for diverse backgrounds and needs.

  • Customer Service orientation, with a focus on professionalism, reliability, and maintaining a welcoming clinic atmosphere.
  • \n

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or degree in kinesiology, exercise science, or a related field is preferred.
  • \n

  • Ability to lift and move equipment and assist patients safely; capacity to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • \n

  • Basic computer skills for scheduling, documentation support, and electronic record systems; prior healthcare experience is an advantage. Lol
