Role Description The Physical Therapy Aide is a full-time, on-site role based in Tinton Falls, NJ, supporting licensed physical therapists in the delivery of patient care. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing treatment areas and equipment, assisting patients with exercises under therapist supervision, and helping maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinic environment. The role involves greeting patients, managing basic administrative tasks such as scheduling support and documentation assistance, and monitoring patient comfort during therapy sessions. - Foundational knowledge of Physical Therapy principles and treatment support, preferably in an outpatient or rehabilitation setting.
- Understanding of Exercise Physiology, including safe execution of therapeutic exercises and proper body mechanics.
- Strong Communication skills, with the ability to follow clinical instructions accurately and interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Demonstrated Patient Care skills, including attentiveness, empathy, and respect for diverse backgrounds and needs.
- Customer Service orientation, with a focus on professionalism, reliability, and maintaining a welcoming clinic atmosphere.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or degree in kinesiology, exercise science, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to lift and move equipment and assist patients safely; capacity to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills for scheduling, documentation support, and electronic record systems; prior healthcare experience is an advantage. Lol
