Vector Fleet Management is seeking 1st Shift Automotive Repair Technician to join our team in the Midland, TX. If you have at least 5 years of proven Automotive Repair experience in an OE Dealership or accredited Service Repair facility or have graduated from a Trade School for Technician, and have at least 2 years in an OE Dealership or accredited Service Repair facility experience, Vector Fleet Management wants to hear from you!

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Acceptable driving record and pass drug test and background check
  • Hold a valid Class C Driver’s License
  • Working knowledge of Mitchell on demand for light duty
  • Working knowledge of Autel Diagnostic tools and software
  • Ability to work with hands overhead, stand for long periods of time and lift 50 lbs.
  • 5 years GM Service and Repair experience Model Years 2018 and newer including
    • Preventative Maintenance
    • Tires – change / balance/ rotate/ replace and program TPMS sensors
    • Engine - including cam / lifters/ injectors / oil pumps / mounts / manifolds
    • Brakes – pads – rotors – calipers – linings – emergency brakes
    • Electronic Brake Control Systems and service procedures
    • Transmission
    • Differential
    • AC systems
    • Engine Cooling Systems
    • Basic Suspension – shocks / struts
    • Electrical and Electronic systems
    • Steering Systems
  • Complete set of hand tools and wheeled tool box suitable for daily use
  • OEM training and/or ASE certifications are preferred
  • ASE automotive certification in at least one of A1-A8
  • o Automotive technical school certificate
  • Maintain a clean, safe working environment
  • Test drive units to verify repair is completed
  • Ability to maintain accurate record keeping and completion of all required paperwork, documents, and online tasks as per individual job requirements
  • Ability to display excellent customer service by communicating with people outside of the organization, representing Vector Fleet to our Customer, Government, and other external sources
  • Excellent organizational skillset – planning, prioritizing work to accomplish not only individual goals but the goals of the team and facility as well.
  • Willing to cross train and learn to work on other types of units and equipment such as diesel, Class 8 trucks, and off-road construction equipment.
  • Reside in Ector or Midland County and have ability and willingness to be on a rotating on call schedule.
