Job Description

Associate Attorney | Los Angeles, CA | $180,000 – $220,000

About the firm

The firm offers a comprehensive real estate practice covering both commercial and residential matters. The firm represents individuals and institutions across all phases of buying, selling, leasing, financing, developing, and managing property. The approach is proactive and solution-oriented, drawing on strong corporate and finance capabilities to guide clients through the business, regulatory, and tax dimensions of their transactions.

The client base ranges from individual investors to large institutional players, spanning local, national, and international transactions. The firm handles both general partner and limited partner representations, offering strategic counsel on operations and investment matters. Services cover the full lifecycle of real estate deals: purchase and sale agreements, construction and design contracts, financing arrangements, title and escrow, entity formation, lease drafting and negotiation across all property types, mechanic's lien issues, and 1031 exchanges.

The team has deep experience in complex acquisitions, sales, exchanges, and development projects, including work involving planning and zoning, environmental considerations, construction contracts, and professional service agreements. Additional focus areas include mortgage financing, debt and equity syndications, joint ventures, foreclosure proceedings, and real estate workouts.

Qualifications

Candidates should hold an active California bar license and have 2 to 5 years of experience in real estate transactional work, ideally at a law firm with a sophisticated commercial practice. Strong drafting and negotiation skills are essential, as is the ability to manage multiple matters with minimal oversight. Familiarity with commercial leasing, acquisition and disposition transactions, and financing structures is preferred. Candidates with exposure to entity formation, 1031 exchanges, or development matters will stand out.
