ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Receive, store, and issue items
- Maintain records of tools and equipment issued and returned, manually or using the computer.
- Assist inventory cycle count and inform purchasing agent of out of stock items to be replenished
- Complete receiving paperwork and deliver it to purchasing and accounting departments.
- Retrieve deliveries (UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.), unpack, and store incoming tools and equipment
- Place items to proper coded storage locations
- Prepare periodic inventory or maintain perpetual inventory of tools and equipment, manually or using computer.
- Prepare layout of needed materials, parts and equipment.
- May mark and identify tools and equipment, using identification tag, stamp, or electric marking tool.
- Distribute supplies to designated employees
- Assist purchasing agent as needed

Qualifications and requirements- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to regularly lift 25 lbs., occasionally list 50 lbs., infrequently lift 70 lbs.
- Strong interpersonal relationship skills and the ability to relate well with a variety of personality types.
Self-starter with ability to multi-task and proven ability to manage time.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent record keeping skills
- Ability to understand business needs and objective
- Ability to drive forklift preferred
Experience
- 2+ years’ experience in a tool crib environment or a similar inventory or purchasing position
