Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Purchasing Coordinator to join a team in Burbank, California and provide dependable support for day-to-day procurement and purchasing administration. This Long-term Contract position is well suited for someone who is highly organized, detail focused, and interested in building experience within supply chain and purchasing operations. The role offers the opportunity to work on-site in a fast-moving environment while helping keep purchasing activities accurate, timely, and well documented.
Responsibilities:
• Examine incoming purchase requests to confirm details are complete, accurate, and ready for processing.
• Evaluate supplier quotations by comparing pricing, lead times, and order terms to support informed purchasing decisions.
• Prepare purchase orders and related procurement paperwork, then route documents through the approval process.
• Keep purchasing files, order logs, and tracking spreadsheets current to support visibility across procurement activity.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to provide updates on order status, delivery timing, and request progress.
• Assist with daily purchasing tasks to help ensure departmental needs are addressed within expected timelines.
• Provide administrative support for procurement operations, including document handling and records organization.
• Follow established purchasing policies and documentation requirements to maintain compliance and consistency.• 3+ years of experience in administrative support, purchasing, procurement, or a related business function.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage several priorities and deadlines at the same time.
• High level of accuracy and careful attention to detail when handling orders and documentation.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for working with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site office environment.
• Familiarity with purchase order processing and general procurement practices is preferred.
