Contract: 12‑month contract with potential for conversion/extension
Pay Rate: Up to $50/hour (W2)
Job Overview
We are an agency partner supporting a cutting‑edge engineering organization in San Jose, CA seeking a Robotics Test Technician. This role works closely with the engineering team to execute robotics testing, operate robotic systems, and collect and analyze test data. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical and engineering foundation, enjoys hands‑on work, and is eager to grow in a robotics‑focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering teams to execute robotics tests and validation activities
- Operate and work directly with robotic systems to support testing efforts
- Collect, document, and organize test data for engineering analysis
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and system‑level issues during testing
- Use test equipment to support calibration and system verification
- Follow established procedures and safety guidelines during all testing activities
- Support continuous improvement of testing processes and workflows
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Engineering background (Mechanical Engineering preferred, but open to related disciplines)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Experience working with test equipment
- Basic understanding of robotics systems and components
- Familiarity with calibration processes
- Exposure to electronics and mechanical systems
- Entry‑level candidates OK
Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have Skills
- Software scripting experience (any language or test automation exposure a plus)
- Hands‑on robotics experience through internships, labs, or academic projects
- Experience wearing VR goggles or working with VR‑enabled systems
- Interest in robotics, automation, or advanced engineering technologies

Job Type & Location

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.16/hr.
