Job Description
Franchise Business Consultant (Territory Manager/Coach)
Location: Burr Ridge, IL (Field-based, serving South Side Chicago & Northwest Indiana)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM — no nights, no weekends
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Ready to Move From the Field to the Boardroom?
If you've spent years mastering commercial cleaning operations and you're ready to trade a mop for a mentorship role, this is your next move. Join a nationally recognized leader in the commercial cleaning and franchise services industry — a company built on operational excellence and a genuine commitment to helping entrepreneurs succeed.
As a Franchise Business Consultant, you won't just support franchise owners — you'll become their go-to advisor, coach, and growth partner. This is a rare opportunity to leverage everything you know about the cleaning industry in a consultative leadership role, with a steady daytime schedule and real career runway.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a trusted advisor to independently owned franchise businesses across the South Side of Chicago and Northwest Indiana
- Build strong, lasting relationships with franchise owners and their customers
- Conduct site visits and operational audits — spotting wins and opportunities for improvement
- Coach owners on best practices in customer service, operations, and business growth
- Help resolve customer concerns and strengthen account retention
- Identify revenue-growth opportunities for the franchise owners you support
- Lead business planning sessions and provide hands-on strategic guidance
- Share your technical cleaning expertise when it's needed most
- Keep accurate records and reporting to support the broader team
Expect a role that's roughly 80% in the field building relationships and 20% in the office handling admin — the perfect balance of people-focused work and predictable structure.
What You Bring
- 4+ years of experience in janitorial operations and customer service
- Solid understanding of commercial cleaning operations
- A natural coach's mindset — strong interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to juggle priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Sharp problem-solving and conflict-resolution instincts
- Excellent organization and time management
- Comfort with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- A professional, trustworthy presence — you know how to handle confidential information with discretion
Bonus points if you have:
- Hands-on experience with floor stripping/waxing, carpet extraction, or floor buffing
- Experience servicing schools, healthcare facilities, auto dealerships, or similar commercial accounts
What's In It for You
- Base salary of $50,000, with on-target earnings up to $65,000 through performance incentives
- Full medical, dental, and vision coverage
- Retirement plan with company match
- Company vehicle and gas card — no wear and tear on your own car
- Company-provided laptop, tablet, and cell phone
- Paid vacation and company holidays
- A consistent Monday–Friday, 8-to-5 schedule — get your evenings and weekends back
Why This Role Stands Out
This is more than a job change — it's a career evolution. You'll take everything you've learned in the field and turn it into influence: helping business owners solve problems, grow revenue, and build something lasting. You'll get the stability of a respected, established organization, the freedom of a field-based role, and the satisfaction of seeing your expertise translate directly into someone else's success.
If you're ready to step into a role where your cleaning-industry know-how becomes your greatest asset — not your daily task list — we'd love to talk!
Pre-employment requirements include a drug screening.
