Lead Network Engineer with SCADA
My name is Bill Stevens, and I have a new full time Lead Network Engineer opportunity available for a major firm located in Livingston, New Jersey that could be of interest to you, please review my specification below and I am available at any time to speak with you so please feel free to call me. The work schedule will be onsite five days a week. The ideal candidate should also possess experience working within an environment that has or has had SCADA which stands for Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition. It’s a type of system used to monitor and control industrial processes in real time.
The ideal candidate should also possess a green card or be of citizenship. No Visa entanglements and no H1-B holding company submittals.
This position will be paying a competitive fulltime salary of $135,000 - $150,000 plus a comprehensive benefits and bonus package.
The Lead Network Engineer will be responsible for strengthening the reliability, responsiveness, and scalability of the firms IT environment. This role serves as a hands-on operational leader and force multiplier for the VP of IT, ensuring day-to-day IT execution is strong while the organization remains resilient, modern, and well-positioned for growth. This position plays a critical role in business continuity planning, user support effectiveness, project execution, and technology adoption across manufacturing, warehouse, and corporate environments. The Lead Network Engineer will also support enterprise initiatives such as capacity expansion, plant changes, and network integration with TE (Traffic Engineering) ensuring improvements are delivered with minimal disruption to users.
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, OR equivalent experience.
Minimum Previous Experience:
5–8 years of progressive hands-on IT networking experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environment.
No direct reports at this time.
Experience with Cisco/Access points.
Experience with Firewalls such as Checkpoint or Palo Alto.
Experience with MS Azure.
ERP exposure helpful but not required
Hands-on IT operations and infrastructure experience in small to mid-sized environments.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
