Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced legal secretary to join our team. Ideal candidates will have 3-5 years of litigation experience and will be organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced legal environment. This position supports attorneys with a busy litigation caseload and requires a strong understanding of legal procedures and court rules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, format, proofread, and file legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence
- Maintain attorney calendars, schedule hearings, depositions, and meetings
- Manage and organize case files
- Assist with trial preparation
- Coordinate with courts, clients, and outside counsel
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as legal secretary
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, legal document management systems, and court e-filing systems (e.g., CM/ECF and state court portals)
- Excellent grammar, proofreading, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
