Job Responsibilities:
\n --40% IMAGE QUALITY ASSURANCE:
\n -Prepares accurate records.
\n -Manipulates computerized image data to obtain interpretive information and archiving.
\n -Administers contrast media under the direction of a physician and in accordance with department policy.
\n -Reports malfunctions to the proper persons, including management.
\n --25% EXECUTES PATIENT CARE DUTIES:
\n -Verifies patient name, DOB, and ID number.
\n -Verifies orders in chart.
\n -Follows department protocol for all exams.
\n -Continuously monitors the patient through exam.
\n -Uses radiation protection for patient and self.
\n -Assists Radiologist with exam when necessary.
\n --25% PROPER USE OF EPIC/AGFA:
\n -Effectively uses the EPIC and AGFA systems.
\n -Completes studies in EPIC.
\n -Makes new studies in AGFA.
\n --10% QUALITY CONTROL IN THE WORK AREA:
\n -Must be able to complete QC on equipment.
\n -Completes QC for assigned rooms.
\n -Orders and restocks supplies and linens.Required Certifications & Licensure:
\n -Active Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (KBMIRT) license required at time of hire.
\n -ARRT registered in Radiography.
\n -BLS
\n -Registry-eligible candidates must obtain CT certification within one year of employment.
\n Preferred Certifications & Licensure:
\n -ARRT Computed Tomography (CT) registry.
